Who is Renata Nunes?
I am Physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience both in Brazil and recently in the UK. I graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of São Paulo City, Brazil in 1997 and then obtained post-graduate qualifications in Motor Rehabilitation (Santa Casa de Misericordia de São Paulo) and Resistive exercises for seniors (University of São Paulo) as well as an Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture in 2012 with renowned Master Liu Chi Ming
My personal story has led to the passion for Physiotherapy due to an experience of pain faced while practising Ballet in my early ages. Suffering from pain in my feet that nobody could fix for months, I got intrigued by learning more about how the body works. As finally got healed by a blind acupuncturist in just three sessions, then I have found my purpose: to help people overcome pain and have a better life.
Since then, I have decided to go for a degree in Physiotherapy and have worked at Private Clinics in São Paulo with well-recognised Doctors at the beginning of my career. In 2003, I decided to open my own practice in São Bernardo do Campo being very successful, never stopped studying and adding other techniques, creating my very own method in a unique and personalised approach to the patient’s needs.
